Caring for Your Vinyl Wrap
Keep It Looking Sharp. Protect Your Investment.
To get the most out of your new wrap and extend its life, a little care goes a long way. Here are some important guidelines to follow—especially in the first few days after installation:
Right After Installation:
- Wait at least 7 days before washing. The adhesive needs time to fully cure. Avoid car washes, rain repellent treatments, and even hand washing during this period.
- Let it rest. If possible, store the vehicle in a garage or shaded area during the first week to help the wrap settle properly.
Washing & Cleaning:
- Hand washing is best. Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a microfiber towel to avoid water spots.
- Touchless automatic washes are okay. If you can’t hand wash, opt for a touchless automatic wash. Avoid ones with spinning brushes, which can lift edges or cause scratches.
- Be careful with pressure washers.
- Keep the nozzle at least 12–18 inches away.
- Use a wide spray pattern and a pressure under 2,000 PSI.
- Avoid aiming the stream directly at the edges or seams of the wrap.
Additional Tips:
- Avoid waxes with petroleum or abrasive ingredients—they can degrade the wrap’s finish. Use wrap-safe sealants if desired.
- Remove bird droppings, sap, and road grime promptly to prevent staining.
- Park in the shade when possible to help preserve color and reduce fading from UV exposure.
With proper care, your wrap will stay vibrant, clean, and eye-catching for years to come.
